The spinal column is made up of 24 vertebrae, the sacrum and coccyx. This column houses and protects the spinal
cord, which transmits information throughout the rest of your body. If a vertebra becomes misaligned, it can compress,
impinge or stretch a nerve, leading to a distortion in the information being passed along it. This can be experienced
as a range of problems including: discomfort, dull ache, severe pain, numbness, "shooting or stabbing" pains or
stiffness and restricted mobility.
The word Chiropractic is derived from two Greek words. McTimoney Chiropractors
use only their hands to make adjustments and effect change. The key to our success lies in the speed, dexterity and accuracy
of the adjustment process.
